Day 1 – ARRIVE IN PALERMO: On arrival, meet with your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel in Palermo. The remainder of your afternoon is free to relax. Accommodation in hotel, overnight.

Day 2 – PALERMO / MONREALE / PALERMO: After breakfast, we will visit the historical center of Palermo, including the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel, and the Royal Palace. Our group will then proceed to Monreale, residing on the slope of Monte Caputo. Once a mere village, Monreale started its expansion when the Norman Kings of Sicily chose the area as their hunting resort and building their palace at this site. We will visit the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments in the world, with its Moorish architecture and the Benedictine Cloister in Arab-Normal style. Enjoy lunch on our own, followed by the afternoon at leisure. Back to your hotel, overnight.

Day 3 – PALERMO / SEGESTA / ERICE / SELINUNTE / AGRIGENTO: After breakfast, depart for Segesta to visit the Doric Temple which keeps in its stones the weight of a long history. Then we proceed to Erice, a medieval town full of myth, history and art. It sits on top of Mt. Erice, overlooking the city of Trapani and the Egadi Islands. After lunch on our own, we depart to the Archaeological park of Selinunte, the largest in the Mediterranean area, with its impressive Temples and Acropolis. Afterwards, our group will proceed to Agrigento for our overnight stay.

Day 4 – AGRIGENTO / PIAZZA ARMERINA / SIRACUSA: After breakfast, visit the Valley of the Temples, including the Temple of Juno, Concord, Heracles, Zeus, Castor and Pollux that represent the most beautiful example of the Greek Civilization in Sicily. Continue to Piazza Armerina. Enjoy lunch on our own. This afternoon, visit Villa Romana del Casale to view the richest, largest and most complex collection of late Roman mosaics in the world. Afterwards, we proceed to Siracusa .Accommodation in hotel, overnight.

Day 5 – SIRACUSA / NOTO / SIRACUSA: After breakfast in our hotel, we depart for a guided visit of Siracusa, thearchaeological area, including the famous Latomie of the Paradise and the Dyionisios “Ear”. We continue to the island of Ortigia, the small baroque old city center of Siracusa. Visit the Cathedral and the Arethuse fountain. Enjoy lunch on our own. This afternoon, our group departs for Noto, one of the most beautiful cities in Sicily, renowned for the harmony and unity of its Baroque style. It has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Back to your hotel in Siracusa, overnight.

Day 6 – SIRACUSA  / MOUNT ETNA / TAORMINA / ACIREAL: After breakfast, we depart on an excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Weather conditions permitting, across fascinating landscapes, we will reach a height of 1800 meters, and here you will enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Ionic Sea. Enjoy lunch on our own before continuing on to Taormina, called the Pearl of the Ionic Sea. Founded in 400 BC and beautifully located overlooking the sea and the peak of Mount Etna. Visit the fascinating Roman – Greek theatre and enjoy time at leisure to shop for handmade lace, coral jewels, ceramics and home-made sweets. Overnight in hotel Acireale area.

Day 7 – ACIREAL / CATANIA / RIVIERA DEI CICLOPI / ACIREAL: After breakfast, we depart for a visit to Catania, the second largest city in Sicily. Two devastating events completely destroyed the city; the eruption of 1669, and the earthquake of 1693. The city was rebuilt, following the Baroque style. We will visit the famous Etnea with its Baroque palaces and churches and the cathedral. Enjoy lunch on your own. On the way back to the hotel, visit the fascinating “Riviera dei Ciclopi. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner in a local restaurant at Acireale. Overnight in Acireal.

Day 8 -ACIREAL / CATANIA APT: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return back home, and end of our services.
